Skyee: Psychosocial Support Workers

Our head office is located in North Sydney but we service areas as far as Greater Western Sydney, The Hills Shire, Eastern & Northern Suburbs, Hornsby Shire, Sutherland Shire, Central Coast and Wollongong, and all areas in between.
We ensure you get work within 30 minutes of where you live, or less. Rate of pay $32 - $39 Weekdays, $44 - $57 Weekends (inc. super)
Requirements
Degree / Diploma in Psychology (third year acceptable), Counselling or other Psychology / Mental Health related qualification.
AND/OR
Previous experience working with people that have mental health conditions
Patience and a compassionate nature to help others
National Police Check
Working With Children's Check (if applicable)
A current Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable car

Due to growth across the business and our expanding team we currently have a new opportunity for a Psychology Graduate or Rehabilitation Counsellor to join our team - Full induction, training, and buddy system provided to set you up for success.
In your new role you will manage a caseload of clients with a psychological disorder, creating and monitoring rehabilitation plans and aim to gradually return our clients back to work.
You will develop the skills needed to conduct motivational interviews with clients as well as influencing stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Looking after a client portfolio, your day will include:
• Manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological or physical injury
• Complete initial assessments and identify suitable goals
• Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
• Organise appropriate intervention with stakeholders
• Providing vocational counselling
• Conduct Vocational Assessments
• Attend medical appointments with your clients
• Complete reports after assessments and meetings
• Communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnoses and treatment
• Facilitate a safe and timely graduated return to work
• Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirementsAbout You
• Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
• Car and valid Driver’s license
• Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships

About the Position
Join our team of committed support staff who love to help other in an uplifting, healthy and enjoyable work environment.
Shifts can vary, but are often scheduled as opening (7:30-2pm or 4pm), or closing (12pm or 2-8pm). We provide a great deal of training and support and preference candidates who can work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
We currently have specific shifts available, and are looking for flexible cover across the remainder of the week. Must be available for at least two of the following:
Mondays 7:30 - 2pm or 4pm
Mondays 2 - 8pm
Tuesdays 7:30 - 2pm or 4pm
Tuesdays 2 - 8pm
Duties and Responsibilities
Seated at our reception desk, you will be a friendly face and first point of contact for all arriving clients.
Contribute to creating a welcoming, high quality, private practice healthcare environment.
You will have opening responsibilities (we are open from 7:30am) and/or closing responsibilities (we are open until 8pm), and we require flexibility in your availability to meet our team needs from time to time.
Answer and manage busy phone lines in a friendly and professional manner, and be able to explain our services.
Have a good understanding of the services offered, the interest areas of the Psychologists and the Practice.
Confidence in communicating effectively with clients, psychologists and referrers such as GP's, paediatricians, psychiatrists and schools.
Following through meticulously with all inquiries and tasks.
Skills Required
Key Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A genuine interest in health, mental well-being and seeing people well again.
Able to learn new procedures quickly, excellent time management and organisational skills.
A high level of professionalism and integrity.
Experience and competence with M365 is essential. Outlook, Word, Excel, is vital, including competencies in managing multiple email accounts. Familiarity with other Office 365 apps is desirable, and must be confidently able to navigate systems.
Desired but not required:
An understanding of health referral and item rebate policies such as Medicare, WorkCover, NDIS, Insurance.
Previous experience in a professional health setting with knowledge of standard office and administrative duties.
Understanding of accounts and invoicing procedures.
Hours and Days of Work
Must be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays and hours can vary.
Note: this position does not suit schools hours only or working from home - our reception staff are required to be on-site to manage clients arriving in person.
This role requires training - we will consider students able to offer a minimum of two years of commitment to us, or candidates interested in a permanent role.
Salary
Salary is based on the Health Professionals and Support Services Award, and will reflect your experience in similar roles.

Thriving Minds Therapy is a growing practice, and we are looking for an outstanding receptionist to join our team on a casual basis. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated with high quality interpersonal skills and attention to detail. We require flexibility for rotational shifts. The business hours are Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:15pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Managing incoming correspondence, record detailed messages and assisting clients with general enquiries
General administrative tasks including scanning, filing, managing phones
Maintaining electronic record management systems, client computerised appointments, billing systems, waitlists and diary management
Triaging new clients and liaising with psychologists as well as referrers
Providing high levels of customer service and communication when working with clients and clinicians
Assisting with general duties to maintain a high level of professionalism within the clinic
Skills Required
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Be self-directed and able to work independently while working with a supportive team culture
Experience working with Practice Management Software
