How would you best describe the culture of the organisation?
Our culture is open and team-oriented, we let our employees be themselves while achieving great results. We are seeking individuals who enjoy achieving goals in an environment that fosters personality and community.
At Caltex we believe everyone should be able to bring their authentic selves to work, and feel a sense of belonging. Creating an inclusive workplace encourages different perspectives to be shared. When we share different perspectives innovation can flourish. We also believe that workplace flexibility is an enabler of inclusion.
At Caltex we strongly believe in the advantages of an inclusive workplace in which individuals of varied backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed, encouraged and given the opportunity to contribute to their full potential. We’re big on diversity and believe that including people from all walks of life can help grow our company.
At Caltex we aim to create an inclusive environment where employee differences such as gender, age, culture, disability, sexual orientation, family and caring responsibilities and religion are respected.
What does a typical day look like for a psychology graduate in the organisation?
It will look different depending on what area the graduate is working in. For example, the role of a HR Graduate, could include organising Counselling and Disciplinary matters with employees, being of assistance to managers to ensure they understand the process and providing required documentation and advice, liaising with our external Employee Assistance Program to ensure all employees know about this and encouraging managers to share with employees that this is available free of charge to employees and their direct family members. Psychology graduates could also go into our Retail business working on marketing initiatives, or in our Fuels and Infrastructure business in Sales or Operations.
Describe the roles psychology graduates have taken in your organisation.
What edge does a psychology graduate have over other graduates from other areas within the business?
What can gradutes expect from the recruitment process?
The recruitment process will include online assessments, online interviews, a candidate day and a face to face interview. Throughout the recruitment process, graduates will have the opportunity to meet with hiring managers across the business and attend the candidate day to hear about what Caltex do and what their values stand for. The candidate day also helps candidates know if they enjoy the environment and feel like Caltex is somewhere they want to work for.
